Day three is a breakthrough day. In terms of hunger and the temptation to break the fast, it is a pivotal day. Spiritually it is a breakthrough day as well. I am expecting a breakthrough for you today!
Esther 4:13-17 (New King James Version)
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16 “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” 17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.
Esther was in a life and death situation. She had to hear from God and receive supernatural favor in order to save her people. If you are in a desperate situation, give God a chance. Set your face to seek Him. Jesus is our Savior, Deliverer and Restorer. Expect a miracle today!
Practical Tip
When we fast, God has an opportunity to get our attention. He gets a hold of our desires and the "idols" in our lives break down. As the flesh weakens, the spirit strengthens and we begin to hear the voice of God clearly. This is the time to press in, anticipate a closeness to the Lord that will be life changing.
