The third day is here and the hunger pangs have increased. The third day is a breakthrough day, so it is important to drink plenty of water and pray and read the Word of God.
We had a great chapel service this morning. I have been so encouraged and excited about the kids and the youth that are participating in the fast. We want them to learn early on in life to hear the voice of God and to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Remember that as toxins are cleaned from the body, energy levels are affected. Some people have experienced headaches over the first three days, but that is not unusual.
The verse I am focusing on today is Hebrew 11:6.
Hebrews 11:6 (New King James Version)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
We are seeking Him diligently, despite the hardship, because He is a good God and wants us to seek Him first in our lives. Even a public fast is a very personal thing. Spend extra time praying and thanking God for His guidance, protection, and blessing for 2008.
God Bless You!
