Jesus is our healer. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We know that He wants to heal people today, mend broken hearts, free the oppressed, and deliver those held captive. All we need to say is, "What can I do Lord, how can You use me to touch lives today?".
Matthew 17:14-21 (New King James Version)
14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
There are spiritual battles that can only be won through prayer and fasting. God has given us very specific directions for the fight. Jesus said we have to fast and pray for some healings to take place. That's what I propose we do as a church, exactly what Jesus said to do.
This coming week we are going to fast and pray for people to be healed of depression. Monday, September 22, through Wednesday, September 24, we will fast and pray for God to set people free from the debilitating conditions of depression.

I am ready to see God deliver our friends and family through the power of this corporate fast! Our sacrifice is small compared to the big things we are about to experience! Praise God for his power, mercy, and grace!
Dave,
Anna and I are joining in the fast. We both have very specific things we are praying about, and we appreciate you for hearing from the Lord about this.

Thank you Lord for such a close Church family who will come together and fast for the deliverance of our Brothers and Sisters that have been stricken with depression and hopelessness.
Thank you Jesus for destroying the Yoke of bondage that depression has tried to place on your body.
Day one is over! Stay the course.
